Health tips
The basic concept of a healthy diet is that a person should be eating fewer calories than they are burning each day, or in other words, to have as much energy from the food that they consumed as possible. A typical calorie deficit is the number of calories that an average person needs to consume to compensate for body uses (1, 2). If this number doesn’t fall below it, then the person will lose weight. In general, people should have no more than 1,200 calories to maintain their current weight. The figure of 800 calories for men and women would be considered an error because these figures are based on studies done with a small number of people. It may be a good idea to talk with your doctor about whether you should be following the guidelines set by the nutritionists while doing physical activity. To start, if you are overweight and don’t want to gain any weight, don’t go over and above 1,200 calories per day. You need to reduce the level of excess energy that you get from your foods. For example, instead of having one whole bag of chips, eat a bag of vegetables or go for fresh fruits instead of processed ones to prevent obesity. Even though fat and protein can be counted as a calorie, they both count a bit differently: for example, protein does not burn calories, but fat does. Fat cells also release stored energy called triglycerides, which can damage your muscles and lead to diabetes. Therefore, you may need to take a look at the amount of fat that you have and avoid excess amounts. Be careful with the serving size of junk foods and keep them on special plates where it’s hard to reach them. Also, put half the plate aside to avoid portion sizes. However, you don't need to limit it to only two snacks a day. When it comes to breakfast, there is nothing wrong with having fruit or a glass of milk. Don't hesitate to make yourself some oatmeal and granola. But as far as lunches or dinners go, have a vegetable dish and some meat. And instead of going for fried food, add a salad. It's important for losing weight as well as maintaining it! Eating less fat can help raise your metabolism and burn calories faster and more efficiently. Try to avoid carbohydrates because they cause instant digestion. This makes it harder for the body to digest protein and carbs. So, try to limit the intake of starch or sugars to 100 g if possible because that will allow the body to digest them. Keep track of every time and remember to write down everything that you buy in your shopping cart. Go out for a walk and even if you have the chance, leave something to remind you of what you have and the things that you need. Do not forget to do it. Take care of the environment as well. There could be lots of plants and lots of flowers on the ground. And if you spend most of your days in the city, don’t forget there could be the risk of pollution. That is why the best thing to do is to use the city streets and parks for gardening. It’s easy to find plenty of space for your plants. And of course, you must remember to pay attention to all the trash you throw away because it can affect the ecosystem around you. Lastly, try to drink water and avoid using canned beverages.
Remember that every minute spent in the kitchen is worth $1 in the long run. Do not waste it. If you need extra nutrients, you can always eat nuts. Look for nuts such as almonds or walnuts. If you do not like nuts, you can always go for a vegan sandwich. Just be aware of the product that you choose. They can be quite costly but they will provide ample nutrients. And let’s face it. We all love to complain about our bad choices. Nowadays, we can’t live without them. It’s better to have a healthier life instead of being happy when the chips are being thrown out. Do remember to pay attention to what you eat. As previously explained, people should have 1,200 calories per day. Add 200 calories for yourself for the sake of your immune system if needed. Another way to eat more healthily and make sure you are getting enough minerals is to get them via supplements. Some of these supplements include zinc (0.3 mg), copper (3.6 mg), magnesium (5 mg), selenium (700 mcg), vitamin D, folic acid (20 mcg) and calcium (1.8 mg). These supplements do more than just make us healthy. They make sure that our brains function normally and help us stay active all the time. Furthermore to the supplements mentioned above, there are dietary supplements that are useful in improving immune response, memory, brain function, cholesterol/blood pressure lowering, and many others. One of the biggest dangers we face nowadays is that we have been consuming vitamins that are bad for us. For example, we have caffeine, melatonin, zinc, boron, and many others. Since the beginning of human existence, we didn’t know about these negative effects, so we started consuming various concoctions that make us feel better. After learning how dangerous they can be, people started realizing that they need fresh alternatives. Of course, it can get complicated, but in such cases, you must work on your personal development to eliminate them from your diet and replace them with healthy options. If you want to save money while keeping your meals on your own, look for products containing collagen, selenium, zinc, and natural flavorings. I have several supplements on my list, including collagen, zinc, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B5, vitamin B12, vitamin B3, vitamin K2, echinacea, aloe vera, and moringa. Each one is a different mineral and it can make a huge difference in your health. Make sure to check out those supplements in detail so you can decide whether you want to get your hands on them or not.
