  Sri Lanka situation The is an ongoing political crisis in Sri Lanka due to the power struggle between President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the Parliament of Sri Lanka. As a result, there are several candidates vying for the presidency. There are 8 candidates vying for the position of president on November 28 2020 and all of them are seeking votes from the people. All of the presidential candidates except one who has not yet declared their candidature bid. This candidate will announce his candidature by 5 pm (GMT-6) Sunday, Nov 29th. There are a few factors that will affect this election such as the current economic situation, economy, health care issues, and the environment.
